Important Safety Instructions

ALWAYS FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS IN YOUR MANUAL AND ALWAYS DO THE FOLLOWING:
1) Keep the garage doors properly balanced. Only get a professional service person make repairs to cables, spring
assemblies and other hardware. !
Warning: Door springs and cables are under extreme tension!
2) Watch a moving door until it completely stops moving. Do not cross the path of a door in
motion, and never let children play
"beat the door". Do not let children play near a garage door when it is opening or closing.
3) Never put fingers between the sections of a garage door or near any moving parts, and teach
children to keep their hands
and fingers clear of section joint, hinges, tracks, springs and other door parts.
4) Do not let children play with transmitters or remote controls, and place these items out of
reach of children.
5) Test the automatic reversal monthly. The garage door must reverse on contact with an
object ( 50mm by 100mm
board laid flat) on the floor. If the garage door does not reverse, adjust either the force or the
limit of travel, and then re-test
the automatic reversa system. Be careful before making any adjustments, as incorrect
adjustments could cause
serious personal injury or death and/or property damage. ! Warning: If in doubt always contact a professional repair person
and have them make any
adjustments.
6) Disconnect the
electrical power to the opener before making any repairs or removing the housing cover.(Only a qualified
repairperson should open the cover or attempt repairs to the opener)
7) ! Warning: All repairs must be made by a
professional repairperson! Do not attempt repairs
yourself! Failure to do so may result in personal injury and/or death!
8) ! Warning: 240V High voltage power inside garage opener! (Electrocution can kill)
9) If possible, use the manual release only when the
door is closed. Be careful when using the
manual release with the door open because weak or broken springs may allow the door to fall rapidly,
causing serious
injury or death.
10) Do not use the emergency release rope to open or close the door.
11) All Warning labels should be
installed in a prominent location.
12) Check all the functions of the opener on a monthly basis.
13) Please take good care of all installation manuals and safety information and always get a professional service person to
carry out regular safety inspections and maintenance.
